About Ryan
Ryan works in Focus Partners Wealth’s Santa Monica office. Born and raised in New Jersey, he relocated to Los Angeles in 2021 and decided to transition from engineering to finance. With a natural curiosity and a passion for understanding others, Ryan values honest and straightforward communication. His keen interest in financial markets, coupled with the desire to help people see their financial pictures more clearly, prompted him to make the career move into finance. While the two professions are quite different, the soft skills he acquired as an engineer have proven to be very transferable when communicating technical concepts in plain language to clients.
During the pandemic, Ryan did something he had always wanted to do and drove across the country. He enjoys the outdoors, traveling to new places, visiting national parks, and searching for the perfect cheeseburger. So, he took advantage of the forced slowdown so many of us experienced in 2020 and did it all. When he’s not working or relaxing at home, you can find him playing fetch with his dog, Penny.

- Rutgers University - studied Mechanical Engineering
- UCLA - Financial Planning certificate
- Passed the CFP Board exam
- Worked as an engineer, designing food production machines, and holds patents in both the US and the UK
